Gel

Buddy BreathTM  Gel is is popular because dogs and cats are curious about what you have on your finger. Available flavors are bland to our human taste. We think salmon flavor is our pet’s favorite.

Apply a small amount of gel to your finger and gently rub it on your pet’s back teeth first, both inside and outside. We like to use gloves or finger cots. At first dogs are afraid of gloves but soon get used to them.

Do they equate gloves to a visit the the veterinarian?  Probably.

Repeat several times to cover all the teeth. Let your pet enjoy the taste between applications.

Spray

Some dogs are very cautious when you first introduce them to the spray. Most then try to avoid it so you have to train them. Use high value treats as you would train them to sit, heal, or come.

Then if the dog is small enough to put on your lap or sit next to you, gently pull back the lips and spray 4 or 5 times to cover all the teeth.

Large dogs will stand patiently as you apply it after they have been properly trained.
